A logo design for SLC?

As you might of guessed the image bellow isn't for Salt Lake City but for a company in Salt lake called "Salt Lick Leather."

They are looking for some ideas so I sent this there way. Not sure if they have decided to use it.

Volksen Media

A young man who wanted a logo for his own media company. I mocked up six originals that were simple for him. He then said he wanted something different and started drawing it out for me. So I did three additional logos for him and he chose the middle one.

The life of a graphic designer.

My love of folk music.

Most people who know me, know that I love folk music. So I decided to create a mandolin in Illustrator as a 3D object.

It makes me want to make one in real life.

All you need is love.

I have been playing with font images and came up with this. I think this could make a cool sticker or poster.

More new stuff!

So Lately I have been really busy and haven't had all the time in the world to do some of the design things that I want to do.

Until now!

So here are some new things that I have worked on.

I designed the layout for a local company in St. George Utah that test soil for construction. I also helped code it and provide content etc. I would like to do more of this.

Here is the link.

Below is a new image I did with splatter and some trees. Again thanks for viewing and giving me your thoughts and opinions. I could not get better or grow without them.

I love design.

The best part about having fun!

I have always been drawn to the arts and being able to create. Now that I have been learning and growing in what I love doing it has made me feel joy with life.
Even when it is something as simple as taking my picture and adding different elements to it.

I have also recently been working on finishing up a website for a geotechnical firm here in St. George. Take some time to check it out and tell me what you think. The site is totally responsive and is at this point 100% HTML5 and CSS. Just click the link below.

Photoshop Fun

So I was assigned to do a photoshop assignment where I needed to take a picture. The picture could be old, new, or something random. I then needed to add elements to it. I kept thinking of all the funny photobombs I could do. All the selfies I could make look more ridiculous then they already were and are. The random items I could make float.

I went to my family and asked for old pictures of my Grandparents. My Grandma passed when my Father was 13 years old. My Grandpa passed when I was either three or five. I would have loved to known them. I had a few images that where shared over Facebook and I decided that these were the ones I wanted to use.

I believe this first one is my favorite. I have always wondered what he would be like and if he was still here what advise he would have been able to give me during the good and the hard times.

This second one I thought would be fun because of how the photo was set up. It was as if someone was supposed to be sitting in the passenger seat.

Here are all the actual images before edditing
